More than 20 years have passed since Dr. József Béres and his wife, Klára Béres, committed themselves to the Tokaj wine region alongside their successful pharmaceutical business and founded a winery in Erdőbénye, in the heart of Hegyalja. They created a winemaking world where wine, the landscape, and the guest experience are closely intertwined. The history of the 90-hectare estate—of which 45 hectares are currently under vine—is one of consistent quality building, and it has achieved internationally notable results in the realm of aszú wines: the 2017 6-puttonyos Tokaji Aszú received a Platinum medal and 97 points at the Decanter World Wine Awards. However, the Béres name is not just about aszú wines; it also represents a Tokaji portfolio that includes both fresh, lighter wines and more serious wine specialties. They also won the title of “Wine of the City of Debrecen” in 2024 with their 2017 6-puttonyos Tokaji Aszú.
