Pulsating jazz-funk with horns, virtuoso improvisation, and a truly powerful rhythm section. In recent years, Krisztián Csapó has been voted Jazz Trombonist of the Year multiple times in the Jazz.hu editorial poll and on the JazzMa.hu lists. As a sought-after session musician and soloist, he has collaborated in his solo project, KRIZ, with musicians such as Hadrien Feraud, Gergő Borlai, Jesús Molina, and one of the busiest British trumpeters, Ryan Quigley, both in concert and on record. He has also collaborated with pop and jazz artists such as Azahriah, Kurt Elling, Andrea Motis, BRAINS, Charlie, Electro Deluxe, India’s most popular pop singer Arijit Singh, and the late Imre Kőszegi. The other members of the band are also sought-after and acclaimed performers on their respective instruments. Ádám Meggyes, a trumpeter and composer, is the leader of the Nart Orchestra and also performs with Irie Maffia and Azahriah, among others. Sándor “Soso” Lakatos is a former winner of the international Gyula Csepregi Saxophone Competition and a saxophonist with Coltrane Legacy. Mike Gotthard is a leading Hungarian guitarist who ranks among the best in both jazz and rock. Áron Tálas is an outstanding jazz pianist and a professor in the Jazz Department at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music. Dániel Usztics is a sought-after bassist despite his young age, whether performing on live television music shows or with the band Godfater, led by Tibor Tátrai and Gergő Borlai. Attila Zombori, a drummer, is a member of the Attila László Fusion Circus, among other groups. In addition to their own jazz/funk/fusion compositions, the concert will feature songs by artists such as Nils Landgren and Sting.
