Founded by the Matyi family in 2007, Matias Winery has a clear mission: it views Pécs and the wines produced there as part of its cultural heritage. Accordingly, the family-run business has a clear and ambitious goal: to showcase the unique characteristics of the Pécs wine region using both native and international grape varieties. The winery cultivates grapes on a total of 75 hectares across two wine regions—Pécs and Villány—and produces its wines at its Ócsárd facility using state-of-the-art technology while striving to apply natural methods to the highest degree. This foundation provides both a robust production base and a commitment to quality. Matias presents itself as a modern brand striving for premium quality; the wines are of outstanding quality and have been receiving Hungarian and international professional accolades one after another. They also won the title of “Wine of the City of Debrecen” in 2026 with their premium red wine, the Cabernet Franc Prestige 2022.
