HOUSE RULES OF THE DEBRECENI BOR- ÉS JAZZNAPOK

These House Rules of the Debreceni Bor- és Jazznapok (the “Event”), organised by Főnix Rendezvényszervező Közhasznú Nonprofit Kft. (“Főnix”), contain the mandatory rules of admission and conduct applicable to the Event. The rights and obligations arising from the legal relationship between Főnix and persons entering the Event (the “Visitor”) are set out in the General Terms and Conditions of the Debreceni Bor- és Jazznapok.

Venue of the Event: 4032 Debrecen, Nagyerdei park

Duration of the Event: The Event is always held on the first full weekend of August whose first day is a Thursday. This year: 6–8 August 2026.

ADMISSION TO THE EVENT

1./ Entry to the Event is permitted within the time limits and subject to the conditions specified by the purchased ticket.

2./ Upon entry, Főnix exchanges advance-purchased admission tickets for wristbands. Before issuing a wristband, Főnix may request proof of identity for the purpose of verifying age; however, it does not scan, record or store the data contained in identity documents. If the Visitor is unwilling to submit to the procedure described above, Főnix is entitled to invalidate the wristband without any obligation to refund the purchase price and to refuse admission to the Event. The Visitor must wear the wristband continuously throughout its period of validity. Organisers will check wristbands upon exit and re-entry, as well as continuously throughout the Event area. If a Visitor’s wristband is invalid, the Visitor must leave the Event area.

The wristband is non-transferable. As a general rule, only a wristband worn on the wrist is valid; however, in justified cases approved by Főnix, it may be worn on another limb from which it cannot be removed without damage. A damaged wristband—including one that has been re-glued, cut, opened at the fastener, has a diameter larger than the hand, has otherwise been tampered with, etc.—is invalid. Főnix does not replace or exchange damaged or lost wristbands. Főnix will initiate proceedings against ticket counterfeiters and persons assisting in counterfeiting.

3./ Glass purchase / return – Upon entry to the Event, Visitors may purchase a large tasting glass suitable for drinking spritzers. A glass purchased for HUF 1,000 against a receipt may be returned upon leaving the Event, provided the receipt is retained. Damaged glasses cannot be returned.

Visitors are not prohibited from bringing their own tasting glass into the Event.

4./ In order to ensure the safe organisation of the Event, Főnix reserves the right to restrict the objects and equipment that may be brought into the Event area. In particular, it is prohibited to bring into the Event area narcotic drugs, pyrotechnic devices, objects or equipment containing explosive, toxic or flammable substances, firearms, knives with a cutting edge longer than 8 centimetres, butterfly knives, switchblades, gas sprays, weighted batons, telescopic batons, metal chains longer than 50 centimetres, throwing stars, slingshots, or any other objects classified as particularly dangerous to public safety under the legislation in force from time to time, currently Government Decree 175/2003 (X. 28.).

A drone may be brought into and used within the Event area only if the Visitor simultaneously possesses the prior written permission of Főnix and all permits required to operate the drone. A Visitor may not enter the Event area with any restricted object.

The Visitor acknowledges that video or photographic recordings may be made using a drone within or above the Event area only with the prior written permission of Főnix, in full compliance with all applicable laws and without endangering the safety of participants or the Event. The person making the recording must agree in advance with Főnix on the manner and timing of each recording and obtain Főnix’s approval.

5./ The Visitor is not entitled to bring alcoholic beverages into the Event area. During a heat alert ordered by the competent public health authority, mineral water may be brought into the Event area in a quantity reasonably necessary to meet personal needs. At other times, the Visitor may bring in one PET bottle with a maximum capacity of 0.5 litres containing bottled water or a soft drink. The Visitor is not entitled to bring food or tobacco products into the Event area in commercial quantities. In the case of food, a commercial quantity means any quantity exceeding that reasonably necessary to meet personal needs. In the case of tobacco products, a commercial quantity means more than 2 cartons (20 packs) of cigarettes, 10 boxes of cigarillos or 10 cigars, irrespective of size.

6./ Children under the age of 12 may attend the Event free of charge, but must wear a children’s wristband. The accompanying adult must write the child’s name and the accompanying adult’s telephone number on the wristband. Children’s wristbands may be requested upon entry. Children under the age of 14 may enter and remain in the Event area only when accompanied by an adult with full legal capacity.

7./ Vehicles may not enter the Event area without a permit issued by Főnix. Persons holding an entry permit must also comply fully with the Hungarian Highway Code within the Event area. Visitors are advised to use public transport or taxi services to reach the Event.

8./ Bicycles may not be brought into the Event area. Please leave bicycles in the designated bicycle racks. Each Visitor leaves their bicycle in the bicycle racks at their own risk.

9./ In addition to assistance dogs, guide dogs and police dogs recognised by law, only domesticated animals generally regarded as tame and posing no danger to the life, health or physical safety of Visitors or others, and which can be kept on a lead (pets, typically dogs, ferrets, certain rodents, etc.), may be admitted free of charge and only by their owners. Due to the intense light and sound effects inherent in the nature of the Event and the expected high number of Visitors, bringing pets into the Event area is not recommended. Főnix recommends leaving them at home or placing them in suitable boarding facilities.

Pets may be admitted to the Event area only if all of the following conditions are met: (I) a valid vaccination certificate showing a rabies vaccination no more than one year old; (II) unique identification, in the form of a legible tattoo or microchip; and (III) a lead, collar, muzzle for animals over 10 kg, and an identification tag displaying the owner’s telephone number at which they remain reachable during the Event. Compliance with these conditions may be checked at the entrance, and a pet may be refused entry if any requirement is not met.

By bringing a pet into the Event, the Visitor acknowledges that the animal must be kept in hygienic conditions that are also appropriate for the animal. By bringing a dog or ferret into the Event, the Visitor further acknowledges that it must be kept on a lead and wear a muzzle throughout the entire Event. Főnix reserves the right to refuse admission to any particular animal on an individual basis, to continuously monitor compliance with the above rules and, in the interests of the safe organisation of the Event, to remove animals that do not comply.

To avoid possible inconvenience, Főnix recommends that Visitors bringing assistance dogs governed by Decree 27/2009 (XII. 3.) SZMM comply with the following conditions. In view of the special function of the dog’s mouth, a muzzle is not mandatory for guide dogs and therapy dogs assisting persons with disabilities, although carrying one is recommended. If Főnix considers that an assistance dog reacts to excessive audiovisual stimuli in a manner inconsistent with its training or is excessively sensitive, Főnix may require the Visitor to place a head halter or, where appropriate, a muzzle on the dog during the Event. Bringing an assistance dog into the Event is the Visitor’s responsibility. If an assistance dog behaves in a manner inconsistent with the conduct learned during its training, it may be removed from the Event area.

RULES OF CONDUCT

1./ In the Event area, the Visitor must behave in accordance with generally accepted standards and comply with applicable laws, the General Terms and Conditions and these House Rules. The Visitor must refrain from any expression, communication or action that may endanger or violate the personality rights, life, health or physical safety of others. The Visitor must pay particular attention to protecting natural assets within the Event area and must refrain from damaging them. Főnix asks Visitors to use the waste bins provided.

2./ The Visitor acknowledges that audio and visual recordings may be made at the Event by Főnix, contractual partners, contributors and members of the press authorised by Főnix (in accordance with the provisions of the separate agreements applicable to them), other Visitors and other third parties. By attending the Event, the Visitor therefore expressly consents to the recording and publication of their face, appearance and conduct, provided that they may be identified by name only with their express consent. If the Visitor is a public figure, they may also be identified by name without their consent.

In relation to the representations described above, the person making the recording acquires an unlimited, transferable and exclusive right of use in respect of the Visitor, without limitation as to territory, time or method of use. Főnix and persons authorised by Főnix are entitled, without limitation in relation to the Visitor, to exploit and use the representation—particularly for the promotion of the Event—to reproduce, publish, adapt, make available to the public, communicate to the public and distribute it, without being required to provide any form of compensation to the Visitor.

The Visitor specifically acknowledges that Főnix records the Event, concerts and programmes and may reproduce the recordings, distribute them on image-carrying media, broadcast or otherwise communicate them to the public, rebroadcast them or otherwise communicate them to the public. This includes making the Event, concerts or programmes available to the public by wire or by any other means or method, for example through YouTube, in such a way that members of the public may individually choose the place and time of access. The Visitor is not entitled to assert any claim or demand against Főnix in connection with such representations.

The Visitor is entitled to make audio and visual recordings at the Event, provided that this is done exclusively using image and sound recording equipment integrated into a telecommunications device used for personal purposes, such as a mobile phone or tablet, or using non-professional photographic equipment. The Visitor may not sell the audio or visual recordings made by them, exploit them for consideration, or use them for commercial purposes even without consideration. The Visitor may not identify by name any Visitors appearing in such recordings without their consent and may not infringe their personality rights. Főnix expressly excludes liability where other Visitors breach the foregoing provisions.

3./ Without the prior written permission of Főnix, it is prohibited to carry out any economic, commercial or advertising activity within the Event area, including the area in front of the Event entrance.

4./ Commercial and catering units within the Event area are prohibited from serving alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of 18 or to intoxicated persons. In the event of disruptive behaviour, Főnix is entitled to instruct a Visitor to leave the Event. In such a case, the disruptive Visitor is not entitled to a refund of the ticket price. The consumption of substances classified as narcotic drugs under applicable law is also prohibited within the Event area and is punishable by law.

6./ For the safety of Visitors, lighting fires at the Event is prohibited. Catering establishments are exempt from this prohibition, provided that open flames are used in full compliance with all safety regulations.

7./ Since the purpose of the Event is to provide Visitors with civilised and undisturbed entertainment, any demonstration unrelated to events organised by Főnix is prohibited at the Event, irrespective of the number of participants. Nevertheless, Főnix reserves the right, at its sole discretion and upon the organiser’s prior request, to authorise certain demonstrations. Even in such cases, participants must comply with these House Rules and otherwise conduct themselves in a manner that does not disturb, hinder, restrict, obstruct or prevent other Visitors’ entertainment, movement within the Event area, access to or exit from the Event area, or use of Services and/or Products.

Főnix is entitled to terminate any demonstration that has not been expressly authorised, without giving reasons. Főnix also reserves the right to terminate, without giving reasons, any demonstration previously authorised by it as described above. At its sole discretion, Főnix is entitled to determine specific conditions for a demonstration, including in particular the number of participants, location and duration. If Főnix declares a demonstration terminated, the participants must immediately cease it. If Főnix imposes conditions in relation to a demonstration authorised or acknowledged by it, the participants must comply with those conditions in full.

8./ Within the Event area, Főnix’s contributors holding the appropriate professional qualifications and permits ensure compliance with the rules of conduct and safety. By attending the Event, the Visitor expressly undertakes to cooperate fully with these contributors within the limits of the law and to follow their instructions in the event of an emergency. If the Visitor wishes to lodge a complaint concerning the conduct of these persons, they may do so by email at info@fonixinfo.hu or by post to Főnix Rendezvényszervező Közhasznú Nonprofit Kft., 4026 Debrecen, Hunyadi u. 1–3.

III. OTHER PROVISIONS

1./ Főnix is liable only for intentional breaches of contract attributable to it and for breaches of contract causing harm to human life, physical integrity or health. Beyond the rights granted to the Visitor by law, Főnix expressly excludes liability for all other damage events. The ticket price has been determined in consideration of the exclusions set out above.

2./ Főnix does not operate a cloakroom, luggage storage or valuables storage facility at the Event. Főnix does not provide guarding services in the car parks located near the Event; consequently, Főnix excludes liability for vehicles parked there and for any objects left inside them.

3./ Information on ticket refunds

The Debreceni Bor- és Jazznapok is a gastronomic and cultural event. The musical and gastronomic programmes are not considered separate elements; therefore, the possible cancellation of concert programmes alone does not entitle the ticket holder to a refund.

A purchased ticket may be refunded only if the Event is cancelled by Főnix or if the Event cannot be held due to adverse weather conditions. Főnix intends to commence or continue the advertised Event even where weather conditions are uncertain. We therefore recommend that Visitors bring warm and waterproof clothing if adverse weather is expected.

If the Event is cancelled, purchased tickets may be refunded within 30 days from the first working day following the cancelled Event, as follows:

Tickets purchased at the Kölcsey Központ box office may be refunded exclusively at that box office during opening hours.

Tickets purchased online, in advance at other box offices or on site may also be refunded at the Kölcsey Központ box office. Such tickets do not have to be refunded in person. Refund requests may also be submitted by email to our Finance Department at kiss@fonixinfo.hu. Please attach the admission tickets received online and include the information required to make the bank transfer. Our company will refund the ticket price within 5 working days thereafter.

The box office is unable to process refunds after the deadline. Neither the on-site box office nor any other box office selling tickets for this Event may be required to process refunds. Tickets cannot be refunded on site on the day of a cancelled Event.

In the event of adverse weather, Főnix will publish a notice regarding cancellation of the Event on www.fonixinfo.hu and www.boresjazz.hu no later than 8:00 p.m. on the day before the Event. If no notice is issued, Főnix is preparing to hold the Event. Irrespective of this, Főnix reserves the right, depending on the weather, to cancel the Event or an Event day on site without any obligation to issue a notice.

In the event of technical or technological obstacles or adverse weather, the responsible staff members of Főnix will decide on site whether programmes are to start late or whether an interrupted programme is to resume.

Neither the on-site box office nor any other box office selling tickets for this Event may be required to process refunds. Tickets cannot be refunded on site on the day of a cancelled Event.

A purchased ticket is not refundable if the Buyer left an interrupted Event but the Event was later resumed on the same day after the weather improved.

IN THE EVENT OF FORCE MAJEURE: If, as a consequence of war, insurrection, an act of terrorism, strike, accident, fire, blockade, flood, natural disaster, serious disruption to the energy supply or any other unforeseeable and unavoidable obstacle beyond the control of the Buyer or Főnix, either party is unable to fulfil a contractual obligation, that party will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from such events.

4./ Főnix reserves the right to change the programme.

5./ A Visitor who is present in the Event area without a wristband or with a wristband that does not entitle them to remain there acknowledges and accepts that, in addition to being held liable, they must pay the price of the wristband entitling them to remain at the Event, or the applicable difference in price. Otherwise, as a result of the extraordinary termination attributable to the Visitor, the Visitor loses the right to continue attending the Event and may not assert any claim or demand against Főnix in this connection.

6./ Comments, complaints or suggestions concerning catering, organisers or any other matter may be addressed to staff at the ticket sales points indicated on the map. Found items may also be handed in at these points, and enquiries about lost items may likewise be made there.
