Bock Pince is one of the best-known and most prestigious family-owned wineries in the Villány wine region. The family has been involved in viticulture and winemaking in Villány since 1850, so the estate today is built on a genuine legacy spanning multiple generations. Its founder is József Bock, an iconic figure in the Hungarian wine world and president of the Villány Wine Region Council, who, with an energy that puts young people to shame, still tends the vineyards to this day, oversees cellar operations, and participates in the national wine scene. A few years ago, he celebrated his 40th anniversary harvest, and in 2024, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Hungarian Wine Academy at the Parliament Building. This legendary Villány winemaker, who was named Winemaker of the Year in 1997, has undoubtedly played a massive role in shaping Hungarian wine culture, as well as in the development and revitalization of the Villány wine region. Currently, they cultivate 120 hectares of their own land and an additional 50 hectares of integrated farmland. Their wines are crafted in accordance with the philosophy of József Bock and his son, Valér Bock—with passion and dedication, always keeping quality in mind. Every Bock wine reflects personal attention and a deep commitment to the winemaking process.
