Holdvölgy cultivates 28 hectares of vineyards. With its aging cellars featuring tunnels totaling 1.8 km in length, it is one of the oldest and longest cave systems in the region; construction of some parts of it began as early as the 15th century.
The winery’s founding is linked to a birthday gift. From a single hectare of vineyards, the estate had grown to 28 hectares by 2021, driven by the vision of establishing an iconic, international brand. Considering all the major wine regions of the world, at the beginning of the 21st century, only Tokaj-Hegyalja—and specifically Mád within it—offered this opportunity.
They practice environmentally conscious viticulture, continuously integrating more and more elements of organic production. They strive to maintain a balance between the health of their vines and the quantity of grapes they can produce.
