The joint involvement of three generations shapes and drives the Garamvári Szőlőbirtok, a true family business. The story began with Vencel Garamvári, who started his career at Hungary’s largest sparkling wine producer, from which he left as commercial director. In 1990, together with a few enthusiastic, innovative partners, he founded a company called Vinarium, which represented wineries producing premium wines and traded in their wines; however, within a short time, they set their sights on producing their own wines and sparkling wines.

By 1996, the family had acquired a cellar on Sörház Street in Budafok, where they were able to begin producing sparkling wines using the “méthode traditionnelle,” or the Champagne method.

It is the combination of three generations working together—blending tradition, experience, and a spirit of innovation—that drives the estate forward.
